Assalamualaikum Warohmatullahi Wabarokatuh.Hii fellas! It's Nayla How are you? I hope you are always happy and fine.So for today's topic, I will make an announcement and answer some questions for my school assignment.
☆ Definition ☆An announcement is a written or spoken statement in public or formal words containing information about an event that has happened or is going to happen so publicly people know what, when, and where is about.
☆ Purpose ☆The purpose of an announcement is for giving people information about what has happened or what will happen.
☆ Generic Structure ☆In the announcement text, there are four aspects of the structure of the text that must be known. The text structure of the announcement text includes :- Stating purpose, the text that contains what event will be held.
- Stating day and date, (day and date realization) the text that contains when the event will be held.
- Stating place, the text that contains where the event will be held.
- Informing sender, the text that contains the name of the person who will be contained.
☆ language Features ☆There are two language features that need to be considered in the announcement text, including:- Using simple present tense and simple future tense, for example = The event will be held on May 26th, 2021.
- Using exact nouns, for example = All students of SMAN 27 Jakarta
☆ Type of announcement ☆There are many types of Announcement Text, some of which are as follows:- Minutes of weddings and birthdays
- Job vacancy
- Appeal from the government
- Announcement of missing persons
- Obituaries
- Graduation announcements, and so on.
